Have you ever reflected on how wonderfully strange and fascinating life is? So much of what we do is driven by the spirit of 'YOLO': visiting new places, buying that product, capturing that perfect photo—all in the quest to create memories. Yet, in a hundred years, none of this will matter. So, why do we do the things we do if it all fades away in the end?

For me, it's about living a life free of regrets. Even if your actions are just for you, this is your life, and you only get one shot at it. You might as well fill it with joy and those exhilarating YOLO moments. The experiences and the moments we create shape who we are and how we live our lives. It's about finding meaning and joy in the present, connecting with others, and expressing ourselves in ways that bring us fulfillment. These moments, even if fleeting, contribute to our personal growth, happiness, and the stories we leave behind. Ultimately, it's about making the most of our time and living a life that feels rich and meaningful to us.

People often say, "I'm too old, it's too late," as an excuse. But there’s no such thing as too old or too late if your body is able. It's about putting in the hard work and deciding if that effort is worth your time. It's easier to just exist, but striving for more brings so much more fulfillment.

I want to be able to look back when I’m in my nineties and proudly say that I gave my best in every aspect of my life, that I aimed to be the best person I could be, and that I tried to reach for every goal I set. I never want to say, "I regret not trying that thing I wanted to try."

The world is changing so rapidly, and as I grow, my dreams and ambitions evolve with it. But one thing remains constant: my passion for art and creating will always be at the heart of it all. So, let's embrace the weirdness and the wonder, and live a life we can be proud to look back on.

The observable metrics are easy to compare against other people and so we default to them because we go: "oh, this person has it so having more than them is winning." This is where competition impulse is so insidious.
It’s far easier to achieve our material desires than to renounce them.
It’s very hard to become successful at something, to make a lot of money, to master a craft, but in many ways it’s easier to do that than to have self-awareness and self-understanding [...] it’s easier to be a great man than a good man.
